The caddy is made from plastic and has a detachable lid. In use this lid locks into place when the handle is in the upright position or is flipped forward. This helps avoid accidental spillage. When the plastic carrying handle is flipped back the lid will open. It is also stackable with similar bins. When stacked the bottom bin can still be accessed by a front part flip lid

Very pleased ed with items and quick delivery
I bought four of the dark green bins, and they are just what I was looking for - sturdy, voluminous (without being too big - that's why I bought 4), the handle locks the main part of the lid down, and rain proof (I left them outside in the rain). What more could you want?
