This bit of History came from Gary

Thanks Gary

Hi Folks, This might not interest you at all, but for the sack of local skateboarding history, the current Horsham skate park is the 3rd one in the town. The 1st one was in the tarmac parking area off Clarence road, surrounded by white fence railings which are still there. We used to slalom through coke cans & chalk marks back in 1977. The second one was in the old sports hall in the park, which is now a bowling venue I think? Anyway back in 77/8, when the sports hall was brand new, we skated the 1st curved ramps which were pushed back against the walls. Urethane wheels on polished stone flooring where as slippery as hell. Today's Horsham skate park is loads better than what we had back then, I just wish I had some photos I could show you from back then. Is there anyone out there who can remember any of this? Best wishes Gary
