Up Date To SkatePark Extension If you have been to the skate park in Horsham you not have failed to see that worked started on the extension to the skate park, just in case you have not it is the large muddy area to the south east of the skate park. The work to the extension has had to stop due to the waste water pipe found under the site, this pipe should have been some 3 feet lower, so the planned layout for the area would no longer work, without a further cost of about £20000, so as a result of this there has been a number of meeting between the HSSA, Skate park users and the HDC (Horsham District Council) to rework the plans and redesign the extension, these plans will have to go be for the council and RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) before can continue. The down side to this is that it will now take lnoger before the work is done and the extensiuon is ready for use, this take some time as the wheals of the different groups turn slowly. Could we ask all visit the skate park not to go on the area where the extention is going as this will only add cost to the planned work, also the HSSA has been raising money towards the extention as not all the cost can be found from public money, you would llike to help with fund rasing then email us at hssa@binliners.co.uk or if you would like to make a donaion then send it to skate park funding, HSSA, C/O TREVOR BEADLE, LEISURE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, HORSHAM DISTRICT COUNCIL all money sent to towards the skate park will only be used for the skate park.
