This game can be played at novice level and above but speed and aggression should be controlled. Skaters cross area from wall or line to another when told. Skate across an area get tagged out.
There is a winner.
Rules:
Person needed to control crossing call
Line everyone against a wall or behind a line.
When told person in control the skaters set off across the area, if tagged by skate guard they are out.
Can only get tagged as they cross.
Tag to be to the body (best with back of hand and to the shoulders). If a skater falls to avoid being tagged they can be tagged on the floor.
Give enough time for all to cross.
Repeat crossing until the skater is tagged.
Last one tagged is the winner.
Advice :
If small skate area is used make the crossing there and back.
Stop skate guards from chasing skates into the wall.
Get those tagged out sit well out of the way of those still playing.
Safety rule for skate guards with whistles, short blow as you tag , three long blows to stop the game (I.E. Skater is in need of first aid)
