Must be polite at all times.
| To offer help to any inexperience skate or young skater.
| To be alert and observant at all times.
| Skate Guards must skate at a safe and sensible speed. With care and
Consideration to other skates at all times.
| Make sure that fire exits are kept clear at all times and are only used
for emergencies.
| To keep non-skaters form the skate area ( the only time non skater should
be in the skate area is to assist inexperienced or young skater).
| To keep the skate area clear of any object. ( from small bits dirt,
litter, bags etc, anything which might impede or hinder a skater).
| When other skaters fall a skate guard must attend even if skater is
unharmed (a fallen skate must encouraged to get up as soon possible but
should not be lifted by a skate guard).
| If skater falls and injures themselves one guard must attend (this skate
guard should be first aid trained) while another (or as many is needed)
stands to keep others skaters from colliding with fallen skater and to keep
other skaters moving to avoid causing a hazard.
| If fallen skater cannot move unaided, do not attempt to move them but send
someone for assistance ( Fully Qualified First Aid Person).
| Food and drink can cause hazards and should not be in the skate area, ask
people to remove them.
| Any friend must not interfere with your duties as a skate guard.
| Jumping over items or people should be stopped immediately (jumping over a
proper jump bar set could be permitted if supervised by more than three
skate guards).
| Any form of bullying will not be tolerated, if any takes place should be
stop immediately, ( this is best done by adult skate guard or member of
staff).
| No one member of staff should undertake the removal of troublemakers from
the hall ( this should be done by adult staff and or skate guards ).
| If young skate guards are used there should always be an adult member of
staff available.
| A young skate should not get involved where conflict may arise.

Other site rules may be needed to cover smoking, Alcohol where skate can be worn etc
